Wait to hear a response. CLD will respond in 48-72 hours under normal circumstances.
Once applicants are approved, please request to join our approved applicant group. It is the approved applicant’s responsibility to monitor, or set alerts, on CLD Approved Applicants Group to be notified when there is availability. We also announce availability on our website so you can check here for that information as well.
CLD does NOT contact our approved applicants when there is availability.
Approved applicants place their reservation on our website when a litter reservation list opens.
When a litter reservation list opens, it is a first come, first serve basis for our approved applicants. No lengthy waitlists!
The reservation fee is applied towards the total purchase amount of the puppy.
Your $500 reservation fee is non-refundable, but it is transferable to another litter within a year. Your reservation is not transferable to another family.
If a pregnancy does not occur, or the litter cannot accommodate the reservation spots, families will be given the option to either transfer to an upcoming litter with availability or have their reservation fee refunded. This is the only circumstance in which a refund would be issued.
CLD accepts 8 reservation fees per reservation list. We open more spots as needed once the puppies arrive.
We do not allow visitors until the day the puppies are ready to go home by those on our reservation list. There are too many risks associated with this, and our family, dogs, and puppies are our priority.
Families choose their puppy in the order their reservation was received. We stress that families choose based on temperament and not solely on physical appearance or gender.
We evaluate our puppies at about 7.5 weeks of age. We provide the families on our reservation list with a thorough temperament assessment along with a video of the assessment. Ultimately, the families make the final decision on which puppy to choose.
Families are given the evaluation before the puppy pick-up day. We encourage the families to use this information when making their selection.
Communication is very important to us! You will receive several emails from us updating you on the puppies, must-haves, etc. You will receive an email regarding puppy pick day after the puppies arrive. It will also be posted here, on our website, after the puppies are born. An email will be sent to our families around 5-6 weeks of age with their appointment time on puppy pick up day.
Families will be given a scheduled 30 minutes on puppy pick up day, to make their selection, and will go home with their puppy the same day.
The remaining balance will be due in cash, or you may choose to pay your balance through our secure Good Dog Website which accepts all major credit and debit cards. There will be no payment alternatives accepted besides these two payment methods. We do not offer payment plans.
If our puppies available do not meet your total satisfaction on go home day, you can choose to be moved to another litter with availability. However, we cannot guarantee that your placement will stay the same by moving to another litter.
